The Salt and the Sea.

I settled into the soft, golden sands of the beach when a gentle breeze carried the salty scent of the sea along the coast. The radiant sun descended on the horizon casting a beautiful golden glow across my face. At my feet, the sand met the water. With every cyclical retreat, my toes sank deeper into the cold, damp sand making me one with Mother Nature.

It was a moment of unity. I could feel the interconnectedness of all things. The back-and-forth motion of the waves created a soothing melody — a symphony of nature’s composition. It did not overwhelm my senses in the slightest. It gracefully whispered into my ears with a rhythmic, hypnotic trance that even time couldn’t escape.

The sea, in all its glory, stretched infinitely before me. Like a canvas, its vastness painted a feeling of endless possibilities. I was a mere spectator and at the same time, a force to be reckoned with. I was tiny, yet I was powerful. There have been countless others who sat at this very spot before me. Some may have found balance and peace while others may have gone to create history. Countless stories have started and ended in the presence of the sea but the sea still flows undisturbed, like it used to.

It made me feel special. I was in an oceanic state of mind. The mysteries of the ocean lured me in. The simple act of sitting at the beach and watching the timeless, overflowing sea felt like nature’s gift to me.

The water in the sea is endless. And so is the salt. No matter how vast, the salt in the sea is never lost. Whether it is in India or in the Middle East, it will always taste the same. There is a beautiful balance in the ocean that continues to remind us that no matter where on the land we are, we must never lose ourselves to time. The world will keep going through a constant flux, but it is our responsibility to find a balance that keeps us true to our moral compass, the core of our existence.

Even when the going gets tough, we must continue to live by our principles and values; For there is duality in nature and nothing remains the same forever. Like the moon that reflects on the infinite sea, we must go through phases of emptiness to feel full again. We must experience both the calm and the storm to find equilibrium in our hearts. Without the storms, we might take the calm for granted and without the calm, we might lose hope during the storms.

The sea, as mighty as it is, is a powerful unifying body that connects the whole world. And yet, it remains to date amongst the most mysterious places in the world. The oceans’ depths are largely unexplored and every venture into the deep blue sea, helps us understand the mysteries of the world.

Our mind, like the sea, is an unexplored treasure chest. There needs to be a willingness to explore the depths of one’s thoughts to truly discover ourselves. We may not be able to do it alone. We may need help, and that’s okay. It took 22 years for 20,000 people to build the Taj Mahal. We cannot discount greatness and expect it to happen overnight.

With all the infinite potential, let’s encourage ourselves to explore and expand our boundaries, venture into the unknown, and never underestimate our capacity for growth.

Let’s remind ourselves that we’re sailors setting sail in an open sea. On some days, the sea is on our side, and on some days, it isn’t. It’s never smooth sailing. We have to weather the storm. We must steer our ship tirelessly through all kinds of waves to get back home. There are no two things about that.

Either we give up and get lost in the ocean, floating aimlessly, moving with the current or we take control of the wheel and navigate ourselves to the place we want to be.

The question is — Which one do you want to be?
